Google tells what Women searches for in India, shopping on the top

Google has come up with an interesting survey analysis and the results are quite interesting. This time it’s a real time study and the data has been compiled from the search query data base of the search engine giant. Breaking the ice, Google has stated that about 40% of internet users of the massive 150 million internet users are women. If calculated, 60 million users are women alone surfing the internet everyday. The official press release said, ‘"The study was compiled by looking at search query data for top women oriented search categories in India and an independent online research done by TNS Australia, which reached out to over 1000 women with access to Internet in India."
Although the rate of usage of internet among women is a positive sign, but it also showed that out of the 40%, only a mere 18% women use internet in their mobile devices. The study also mentioned that around 24 million women log into internet everyday to check mails, interact on social networking sites and the utmost pastime, shopping online. Other activities include searching and visiting networking sites followed by downloading music, looking for educational content, job search, watching videos and consuming news, in order of importance.
Although the survey was not gender-biased as clearly mentioned in the report, the study has thrown a lime light over the popularity of internet among the she-gender and the number has shown a pretty impressive result.
